Volunteer drivers needed
The Foodbank is partnered with Starbucks for its FoodShare program. We are seeking a volunteer driver for the Friday morning route which starts in Summit County and goes into Stark County. The volunteer driver will pick up the food donation and deliver it directly to a food program in Stark County. The volunteer driver must pass a driving background check and drug screening. Volunteer drivers for the Starbucks program operate a Foodbank refrigerated sprinter van. Position requires individual to be comfortable lifting, standing, and kneeling. Community Harvest drivers/route assistants:
We are seeking volunteer drivers and route assistants to support our food rescue program, Community Harvest, located in Stark County. Volunteer drivers will operate a Foodbank box truck and pick up donations from various donors in Stark County and deliver donations to the Foodbank’s hunger-relief partners. The volunteer driver must pass a driving background check and drug screening. Route assistants will ride along with the driver to assist with pick-ups and deliveries. Volunteers needed at new Stark County Campus
We are excited to announce volunteer opportunities available at our new Stark County Campus location (1365 Cherry Ave NE, Canton, OH 44714).
Volunteer opportunities are available:
- Monday-Friday for individuals from 8:30am-3:30pm with a break for cleaning from 11:30am-12:30pm.
- Monday-Friday for groups from 9:00am-11:30am and 1:00pm-3:30pm.
- First and third Wednesday evenings from 4:30pm-6:30pm.*
- Most Saturdays from 8:30am-11am.*
- Neighborhood Distributions held the first Thursday of each month from 12:40pm-3:10pm.*
*These volunteer opportunities are currently available at the Main Campus in Akron only.
To promote a safe experience, space is limited for all volunteer opportunities. To ensure a space is open, it is important for all volunteers to sign up for a time slot prior to arrival.

Our normal volunteer hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. A typical volunteer shift lasts two hours.
Please note, you must be at least 10 years old to volunteer. Youth volunteers age 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Volunteers have a hands-on experience sorting, inspecting, relabeling or repackaging donated food.
Volunteers assist with filing, computer data entry, mailings and other essential administrative duties.
Nights & Weekends
Warehouse volunteer opportunities are available on Saturday mornings, 8:30am-11:00am (except holiday weekends) and on the first and third Wednesday evenings of each month, 4:30pm-6:30pm.
Volunteers have a hands-on experience loading and unloading groceries and assisting clients at monthly onsite food distributions.
Volunteers assist with events, activities, campaigns and food drives throughout the year.

Keith D. Monda Family Food Pantry & Resource Center
Volunteers in the Pantry sign in guests, pack orders and restock items. The pantry is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00am-3:00pm. Volunteers serve from 8:30am-12:00pm or 12:00pm-3:30pm. Volunteers are needed in two primary areas to assist with registration/intake and order fulfillment. For registration/intake, volunteers are encouraged to be comfortable using technology. For order fulfillment, volunteers should have the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Volunteers also assist with restocking the Pantry. Restock volunteers place items in freezers, coolers and on pantry shelves. Volunteers should have the ability to lift 20-40 pounds.

Once your account has been created, log in to our Volunteer Information Center to self-schedule your volunteer opportunity at the Foodbank.
