Your Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank continues to serve our community members impacted by COVID-19, but we need your support. Earlier this week, we had one of our largest single-day distributions in our 37-year history. The dedicated pantries, hot meal sites and backpack programs within our network are preparing for an increase in demand as more businesses close and families are out of work. If the demand for food continues at this pace, we will not have enough inventory to meet the need.
We're thankful for the donors who have come forward to support our hunger-relief efforts. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and an anonymous friend of the Foodbank matched all donations, up to $40,000, this week. And thanks to the generosity of the Andrea Rose Teodosio Foundation, the match has been extended until Sunday. The Foundation will match your donation, dollar for dollar, up to $15,000.
