Foodbanker since 2016

In 2016, Carol joined the Foodbank as Human Resources Manager. Since then, she has proven herself to be a thoughtful and conscientious leader, taking on increasingly progressive roles within the human resources department and expanding both her expertise and leadership responsibilities. Carol has also been a champion for initiatives that strengthen the employee experience, including advocating for an updated maternity leave policy to better support mothers working at the Foodbank.

The Foodbank is proud to have been recognized with the NorthCoast 99 award for 13 consecutive years as one of Northeast Ohio’s best places to work. Carol plays an important role in stewarding and promoting the Foodbank’s strong workplace culture, which is essential to attracting and retaining talented, tenured staff and supporting the organization’s continued growth.

Today, Carol serves as the Vice President of Human Resources, providing strategic guidance and leadership for all aspects of HR functions for the organization. She establishes a vision and direction for the full complement of core human capital programs, policies and services. For her stellar work in HR, Carol received a 2026 award of excellence from NSME Akron/Canton.

Prior to joining the Foodbank, Carol worked for the Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board and FedEx Custom Critical, where she implemented recruitment strategies to support staffing needs. She has dedicated her entire career to human resources and is a graduate of the University of Akron.

Beyond her role at the Foodbank, Carol is an active community leader. She serves on the board of Access Inc. and is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also a proud graduate of Leadership Akron, Class 38.

Carol resides in Cuyahoga Falls with her Husband, Phillip. She enjoys watching Cleveland sports and spending time outdoors with her family.
