Lynsey is resourceful. She and her husband work hard to budget his income as a repairman, shopping in bulk whenever possible to save money. Despite their efforts, rising costs have made it increasingly difficult to afford groceries for their family of six.
“Everything is so expensive,” Lynsey says.
On top of higher food prices, Lynsey's car has been breaking down, adding to their financial strain. During tough times, she turns to her local food pantry to help make ends meet, especially in the summer when her four growing children are home from school and not receiving school breakfasts and lunches.
Lynsey is deeply grateful for the community members who support local hunger relief.
