Early next year, the Foodbank will be launching a new barcording system in the warehouse. While there will not be any visible differences for agencies, the barcoding system will change the way the warehouse operates, with the goal of an improved experience for our agencies.
The barcoding system will create greater efficiencies in the warehouse while staff members are picking orders. The result will be more accurate orders and less instances of shortages or overages in product during pick up. The system will also reduce our usage of paper, eventually eliminating the picking lists currently used in the warehouse.
