The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank announced the addition of four new members to its 2015 Board of Directors: Mark Cohen, Randall Frame, Ron Hartman and Jill Penrose.

“The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank is honored to welcome our newest board members,”said Dan Flowers, President and CEO of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. “These new members are all respected leaders from top companies, and they will make great additions to our wonderfully, diverse and talented Board of Directors.”

Below is a brief biography of each new member:

Mark Cohen is Publisher of The Akron Beacon Journal and Ohio.com. Prior to joining the Akron Beacon Journal in November 2013, he was the Chief Operating Officer with Pioneer News Group in Seattle, where he oversaw print and digital publications in five states. Cohen has extensive expertise in sales, marketing and management.

Randall Frame is the Regional President of Ohio Edison and its subsidiary, Penn Power; an electric utility operating company of First Energy Corp. Randy joined Ohio Edison in 1982 as an engineering assistant and worked through the company in various positions until May of 2013 when he was promoted to his current position.

Ron Hartman is the President and Chief Executive Officer of LD Carlson Company in Kent, Ohio, a leading wholesale distribution company of winemaking and beer making equipment and supplies. Ron’s entire professional career has been with LD Carlson when he started as Carlson’s accountant and eventually became the President and CEO.

Jill Penrose is the Corporate Officer and Vice President of Human Resources at the J.M. Smucker Company. She has been an employee of Smucker’s for 10 years, and was formerly the Vice President of Strategy and Organization Development, and has held several leadership positions within the Human Resource department of Smucker’s.
