Selfless Elf 5k

Early packet pickup will be on Friday, Dec. 19 from 4pm-6pm at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank’s Main Campus at 350 Opportunity Pkwy in Akron. You may also pick up your packet on race day at the Foodbank, Saturday, Dec. 21 from 6:30am-7:45am.

Please bring the QR code from your email on your phone or by print for quick pick up. (not required)

Please plan to arrive early to provide ample time to find parking. We have secured multiple areas for parking. Lot A has the largest number of parking spaces at the Akron Urban League. Handicapped parking and parking for those with small children will be located in Lot B. Please do not block doors or garage doors at any of these locations. Also, please note that Dart Avenue will close at 7:30am to prepare for the race.

Parking Map

The race starts and ends at the Foodbank’s Main Campus located at 350 Opportunity Pkwy in Akron. The race will begin promptly at 8am and take participants through downtown Akron. Our race is runner, walker, child and stroller friendly. This race will be chip-timed at both the start and finish lines by RacePenguin. There is also a water station at the mid point near the RubberDucks stadium.

The awards ceremony will recognize the top male and female runners and walkers overall, the fastest team, and the Most Dashing (best dressed) and Top VIP Elf (top fundraiser). Awards for the top two female and male runners and walkers in each age category, will be distributed at an awards booth. Award categories are listed on the RacePenguin website. Please scan the QR code on your bib or visit the RacePenguin Hub to see race results and download free race photos. Please share these free photos with family and friends on social media using #ACRFB.

Award Categories

We encourage all participants to dress for the weather and add some festive holiday elf flare to their outfit! Your long-sleeved shirt and striped-elf socks will be available in your runner bag to wear on race day. We look forward to seeing you spread holiday cheer through the streets of Akron! Also, additional socks and race shirts will be available for $5 each at our Vintage Apparel table while supplies last. Cash, check or credit card is accepted.

The Foodbank does not have space available to store personal belongings during the race. Please leave anything you don’t want to leave unattended in your vehicle.

While we have portable restrooms conveniently located outside the Foodbank, indoor restrooms and changing areas will be unavailable on the morning of the race.

For the safety of all participants, this is a dog-free event. Thank you for understanding.
