The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is a federal agency providing oversight on matters related to food, agriculture and natural resources. The USDA provides oversight of the following federal anti-hunger programs: National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs, the Special Supplemental Nutrition for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).

The USDA also provides resources for emergency food providers including food safety and recall information, nutrition education information and the SNAP recipe finder.
