Advocacy Toolkit

The Agency Advocacy Toolkit is full of resources to engage our network in the fight against hunger. Every voice, every vote matters to ensure that our clients remain supported through federal nutrition programs. Learn about all of the programs that benefit our clients.

Ways to get involved

  1. Sign up to join the Foodbank Advocacy Network to receive Action Alerts in your email notifying you of ways that you can join the Foodbank in the fight against hunger.
  2. Join the Paper Plate Campaign to share your clients’ stories with elected officials.  E-mail to request paper plates or call Colleen Benson, Senior Manager, Development and Program Services at 330-777-7571 to participate in this important project.
  3. Contact your local elected officials and educate them about hunger in our community. Ask them to take action on legislation affecting hunger issues. Find contact information for your local, state and federal elected officials here.

2018 - 2019 State Budget Request

Ohio's Foodbanks have been supported in the state budget for more than 20 years. Nearly 21% of the food distributed by our Foodbank is from the Ohio Food Program and the Ohio Agricultural Clearance Program. These programs provide healthy, nutritious foods to our state's most vulnerable populations. To learn more about our 2018 - 2019 state budget request, review the documents below.
