2026 Ohio Association of Foodbanks’ Hunger Study
  • Findings from the 2026 Hunger Study reflect the growing gap between what households earn and what it costs to live. Many households are resorting to choosing between various essential items such as housing, medicine and food. Learn more about how Hunger is affecting our neighbors by reading the full report here.
2026 Farm Bill Update
  • The Foodbank engages in direct advocacy to help ensure policies affecting food assistance and hunger-relief programs remain a priority. The Farm Bill impacts several programs that provide food and resources to communities, including SNAP (food stamps), CSFP (senior food boxes) and TEFAP (funding for food distributions).
  • The Farm Bill has been overdue for an update since 2023. The legislative process can take time and engagement from stakeholders, including farmers, food assistance recipients and hunger-relief organizations, are essential to producing a strong farm bill. • On September 16, 2026, an initial Farm Bill proposal passed out of the Senate Agriculture Committee. The legislation still needs to be considered by the full Senate and the House of Representatives before it can become law.
  • The Foodbank advocates for strong investments in programs that help provide food to people and communities, including TEFAP and CSFP – programs that the Foodbank directly administers.
