The U.S. Postal Service will once again join the NALC and the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank as a major participant in the nation’s largest one-day food drive. On Saturday, May 10, 2008, letter carriers in over 10,000 cities and towns across America will deliver more than mail when they walk and drive along their Postal routes. Read the Whole Story!

Dan Flowers, the CEO of the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank says that their distribution is at 59,000 pounds a day, which is a 10,000 pound increase over last year. Although there is higher demand, he says they aren't in short supply. There's just more stress placed on the warehouse.
