Program Services Advisor
The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank seeks a driven and passionate advocate for closing the food insecurity gap. As a Program Services Advisor, you will contribute to building a strategic, dynamic, agency centered approach to distributing food and other essential services to those in need.
Primary responsibilities will include ensuring network partner compliance; serving as an advocate for the clients, network partners and communities served by the Foodbank; assist in coordination and delivery of round table discussions.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Social Sciences, Health Education, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration is preferred.
- Experience: One to three years of community health programs or local food background preferred.
- Passionate advocate for closing the food insecurity gap.
- Ability to work effectively and patiently with a diverse group of individuals, including children, young adults, elderly, and the physically and mentally challenged.
- Demonstrate appropriate professional behavior using a high degree of tact and diplomacy in working with others.
- Excellent project management and organizational ability.
- Effective communication strategies, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, as well as Google Docs, with a special focus on Excel. Experience with Access or other databases software desirable.
