The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank seeks a driven and passionate advocate for closing the food insecurity gap.  As a Development Data Specialist, you will be responsible for the accuracy, integrity and analysis of the Foodbank’s donor database.  This position works closely with the Donor Services team to ensure an efficient, yet flexible donor acknowledgement system; analyzes and monitors the Foodbank’s fundraising efforts, and produces metrics and reporting tools to access the overall fundraising performance. 

Primary responsibilities will include managing the donor database of over 80,000 constituent records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) ethical standards and donor confidentiality.  Also be the lead on all augmentation and clean-up of new and existing data to ensure constituent data is current and complete.  Collaborate with Fund Development team to provide database training and promote accurate data input and usage.  Coordinate donation and acknowledgement process in partnership with the Donor Services team ensuring efficiency, accuracy and flexibility.  Process on-line donations and support gift processing as donation volume requires.  Manage pre-registration and registration sales and financial reconciliation at Foodbank events, including the training and oversight of volunteers and Foodbank staff. 

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferred. 
  • Experience:  Three to five years of relevant experience with constituent relationship database; Raiser’s Edge database, preferred.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Crystal Report experience desired;  Luminate Online and RELO bridge experience, a plus.
  • Strong analytical skill set including the ability to mine data trends and communicate data effectively with data and visuals.
  • Excellent time/project management skills.
  • Must be familiar with IRS regulations relating to donation processing as well as Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) standards.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written are required.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail and accuracy while handling multiple tasks with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced customer service department.
  • Available during off-hours for communications of all kinds.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, be adaptable, and be creative and anticipate reporting and communication needs within the Fund Development Team.
