The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank is currently recruiting one AmeriCorps VISTA, Partner Development Coordinator to join in our fight to end poverty throughout our eight-county service territory. The AmeriCorps VISTA program is Volunteers in Service to America, which is a national service program where you commit to serve for a full year with our Foodbank. The Partner Development Coordinator will help develop systems to track, report and assist partner agencies in the selection and progression to different engagement and collaboration levels in the Network Partnership program. In addition, the Partner Development Coordiantor will recruit, train, track and sustain skilled volunteers that can be deployed throughout the network of hunger-relief programs as part of the Network Engagement Volunteer program.

Partner Development Coordinator job duties include:

  • Develop system to track levels of agency engagement/collaboration and ability to participate in skilled volunteer program
  • Help identify agency accountability of required goals for each level of the Network Partnership program
  • Develop system to track use of the Network Partnership Program benefits and rewards for each of the levels
  • Train and track the Network Engagement Volunteer training and create new training materials
  • Manage and track Network Engagement Volunteer program schedule and agencies’ requests for volunteers
  • Create/develop volunteer recognition and retention program for the skilled volunteers and hosting agencies
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • College graduate (preferred)
  • Comfortable with Office 365
  • Passion for community service
  • Able to track and analyze data and present the results
  • Comfortable with written communications and public speaking
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Proficient in preparing and executing effective communication strategies, both verbal and written, to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to research, analyze and troubleshoot problems - able to apply learning appropriately
