In our community, 1 in 7 individuals struggle with hunger. Food insecurity presents tough choices to families in need, including buying groceries or paying for utilities, medical needs or transportation. The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank hopes to ease these difficult decisions by providing more than 5.3 million meals for our local community in partnership with our network of hunger-relief partners through the Harvest for Hunger Campaign.
The Harvest for Hunger Campaign is a partnership between four food banks and focuses on fighting hunger across 21 counties in Northeast Ohio. This is the Foodbank’s largest fundraising campaign and helps support food distribution all year long. Support from the community is imperative to ensure families struggling with hunger have a place to turn during their time of need.
No matter how you choose to support Harvest for Hunger, please know that 100 percent of every dollar raised in this Campaign goes directly to providing free food for individuals and families in need in our local community.
