The Corporate Volunteer Coordinator works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, placing corporate volunteers to support our ability to feed people and fight hunger. Primary responsibilities include working with corporate organizations to develop partnerships for volunteer recruitment; promoting the Foodbank brand and volunteer opportunities through community fairs; collaborating with the Volunteer Program Leader to coordinate the volunteer program and related activities across the organization; delivering volunteer orientation and any related training; contributing volunteer activity data to support organizational reporting relative to strategic goals; A high degree of commitment, availability, flexibility and dependability is essential for success in this position.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in recruitment, customer service or non-profit relations preferred.
- Provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with internal and external customers.
- Strong project management, verbal and written communication, judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations.
- Must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities with little supervision, and be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Available during off-hours for communications of all kinds.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse people at all levels both in and out of the organization.
- Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and mail merges; email and web searches.
- This position requires limited travel within the eight-county service area.
