There has been a precautionary recall of 9-ounce spinach bags packed by Fresh Express and distributed to Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine and Ohio due to possible Salmonella contamination.  No illnesses have been reported in connection to the recall spinach.

The recall involves spinach bags with product codes starting with H081 and H082, UPC code 7127913204 and use-by dates of April 6 and 7.

In response to this recall, the Foodbank has reviewed our product inventory and found that this item may have been distributed in the MarketPlace between April 1 -6, 2011.
