School is now out and the nearly one in four children in our community who will face hunger this year are no longer receiving free or reduced-price lunches at school. These children may be facing a summer of hunger.
Your Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank seeks to meet the needs of low-income children struggling with hunger in the summer by providing them with nutritious meals and snacks when school is not in session. We are now in full swing helping feed children and urgently need your support.
We can’t do it without you. Help provide meals to children in our community by “sharing a lunch” this summer. Every $1 you give provides enough food for 4 meals. Making a donation in the amount of one day’s lunch (about $10) could provide a child 40 meals. Just imagine what your contribution could do!
Every child deserves a hunger-free summer.
