Each spring, the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank hosts its annual Harvest for Hunger campaign. Harvest for Hunger is a partnership between four food banks that serve 21 counties in Ohio. This collaboration represents one of the largest food and funds drives in the country and is also the Foodbank’s largest fundraising campaign, which helps support food distribution all year long.
It’s hard to ignore hunger. Doing even the simplest task seems impossible on an empty stomach. Join the Harvest for Hunger campaign and help the 1 in 4 children or the 1 in 7 individuals in our area who struggle with hunger.
Together, we’re not just feeding people—we’re feeding minds.

Donate to Harvest for Hunger
We need your support to feed people in need right here in our community. Hunger affects children, seniors, the disabled and even working adults. In our community, as many as 263,200 different individuals rely on the Foodbank for emergency food assistance each year. Many have to face tough decisions like whether to pay their heating bills or buy groceries. They turn to the Foodbank and its agencies in their time of need.
A tax-deductible gift is always welcome, which can be made online or via postal mail marked Harvest for Hunger. For every $1 that you donate, the Foodbank can provide four meals for the hungry!
The demand for emergency food is high, and we need your help. Food donations are welcome, especially the Super Six most needed food items: boxed cereal, peanut butter, canned tuna, canned vegetables, canned beef stew and canned soup.
The help volunteers supply is real, tangible, and relied on by more than 263,200 different people who benefit annually from the food we provide.
